B2MeM Day One

Nan Elmoth Passport StampI had the idea for this challenge when I saw it, started it in April and finally managed to finish it. If I keep going like this, in three years I might finish all the challenges >.>

Challenge: Write a story or poem or create artwork where seduction plays a central role.

Because I don't believe anyone could have made Aredhel marry against her will.

Oh, the eyes, and the hair... And the pose, it all says "come and eat me". His features are beautiful but not feminine. Fantastic, Alasse!

Oh, your Eol is VERY nice indeed. Well done!

Aredhel thinks so too ;)

Thanks!

Thank you! I'm glad the pic fits the challenge :D

Yes, Aredhel was just too strong-willed to be forced against her will, I think she had reasons to stay. And I very much like this Eol!

That is really nice. Great pose! He looks so natural.

Wow! He's got attitude! As always, you do such a good job with capturing facial expressions and body language.

I think the daily challenges are much harder on artists than writers. I can, for example, crank out four drabbles in an hour. I don't think you could do four drawings of the quality of this one at the same time! :) I'm glad you're still drawing for the challenge, as I'm so enjoying your work for it so far.

As far as I remember, the only problem Aredhel had was that Eöl wouldn't let her see her people (and we know how well that turned out for him). I think that restriction didn't became a problem until she started to miss them.

And thanks :)

Thanks. I had so many problems with the pose that I'm very happy to hear he looks natural :D

Thank you :)

I can't even do one drawing like this one in an hour! Maybe a better artist wouldn't have a problem with daily challenges... but I still have a lot to learn, and drawing something other than a face takes a while. However, the hardest part is trying to come up with an idea that fits the challenge!

I loved the challenges, the reason I keep working on them is that they were a great source of inspiration. I made a list with all my ideas here: http://alasse-mirimiel.livejournal.com/7700.html#cutid1

I think he is a very good match for your version of Aredhel!
(Well, apart from those problems we know about...)

I wasn't aware I drew my Aredhel's husband until you mentioned it!

Eöl and Turgon made the same mistake, trying to keep her caged. Only Turgon knew her sister and finally let her go (I think he knew she would eventually seek Celegorm, no matter what he said), otherwise she would have run away, as she did from Nan Elmoth.
