hhimring gave me permission to use her OC Emlinn, a Sinda musician who ends up being Maglor's student during the siege of Himring, during the Battle of Sudden Flame. The West Wind Quartet is a wonderful story, more about the relationship between Maglor and Maedhros as seen through the eyes of an outsider than about Emlinn.

 I imagine this is during the retreat from Maglor's Gap
