Challenge: The act of kindness or hospitability usually comes from a generous heart. Write a story or poem, or create a piece of art where your character displays this virtue.

I thought of Elrond when I read the challenge yet I knew when I started that I was drawing Rosie Cotton. Funny how those things happen. But it fits the challenge, I think: there's something very kind about her that shows whenever she speaks. Besides, is there another female in Middle Earth that would be so understanding if their husband had with someone else the kind of bond Sam had with Frodo?

Nice! I agree the situation with Frodo and Sam would have needed some delicate handling by Rosie, especially with Frodo being in such a bad state and their all living on his premises.

I don't have a very clear image of how Rosie would look (certainly not like the movie version), but you know, your version seems down-to-earth common-sense hobbity, and very pretty. I love the way you've drawn her hair. To me it is proper hobbit hair, curly and thick.
